Carlos Salgado is 5 years old and yes, he does share his name with another kiddo from our center!
Carlos has been diagnosed with cortical atrophy. He has a very limited ability to participate in life. Though his eyes technically work, he is effectively blind due to impaired connections between his eyes and brain. He has low muscle tone, making it difficult for him to hold his head up, roll over, or participate in normal activities.
Since coming to the center, Carlos has slowly demonstrated increase muscle tone and strength!
His birthday is March 7!
$90 a month covers the full cost for Carlos to receive weekly therapy and care at the Mercy Center. Those funds cover the salaries of our therapists, the cost of transporting Carlos to and from the center, the food Carlos eats at the center, and materials we need to provide his therapy!
