The Mercy Kids is a foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life of kids and families experiencing disability in rural, northern Nicaragua.

This work is carried out primarily through The Mercy Center in Nicaragua, the only physical therapy and support center of its kind within a two-hour drive radius. The space exists to create a holistically healthy environment for kids with disabilities by providing physical therapy as well as job training for parents, opportunities for community, and health and wellness education.

The staff in Nicaragua furthers this mission by identifying children that can benefit from surgical intervention in the US and beyond.

Who We Serve

We currently provide weekly physical therapy for 26 children in addition to general support to upwards of 260 others.

All of our participants come from low-income families that do not have access to other healthcare.

Our children experience a variety of disabilities from microcephaly to cerebral palsy to Down syndrome.
